MILWAUKEE WAVE GAME PREVIEW –
Wave (7-0) vs. Rochester Lancers (5-5), 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 27th
QUICK FACTS:
ROCHESTER SERIES RECORD: 1-0
ROCHESTER COACH: Billy Andracki
MILWAUKEE COACH: Keith Tozer (639-386/27 seasons)
THE SKINNY:
The Milwaukee Wave’s league leading offense just got even more fearsome. Forward Marco Terminesi has been cleared to play and will make his debut this season in Rochester. A Wave win would move them to 8-0 and would tie them with best start to a season when the Wave rattled off eight straight wins to start the season in 2005-2006.
Terminesi had missed all seven games this season after suffering an injury but should add more bite to an already potent Wave attack. He recorded one of the greatest individual offensive seasons in Wave history in 2010-’11 leading the team in 3-point goals (3), 2-point goals (22), total goals (25), assists (19), points (72) and game-winning goals (5). He scored in every game last season and finished in second place on the league leader board for points and goals scored.
In the Wave’s last game, they took care of business against the Wichita Wings, winning 15-4 behind two goals from Marcio Leite to remain undefeated at 7-0. Five Wave players recorded three points with captain Greg Howes reaching the 750 point milestone for his career while Ian Bennett scored his 50th career goal.
Since playing the Wave last on December 10th, Rochester has won two games over Syracuse and Norfolk. The Lancers tied the MISL’s single game high for points this season knocking off the SharX 26-10. Rochester’s Mauricio Sallestallied nine points to lead the way.
The Milwaukee Wave will look to continue their winning streak on just their second road game of the season.
