TERMINESI IS MISL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Marco TerminesiMILWAUKEE (Dec. 14, 2009) - On the strength of a career-high nine-point outing, the Milwaukee Wave's Marco Terminesi has been named MISL Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 7-13.

Terminesi, the Xtreme Soccer League's Rookie of the Year in 2008-09 with the Wave, tallied one 3-point goal, two 2-point goals and two assists in Milwaukee's 27-6 rout of the Philadelphia KiXX on Saturday at the U.S. Cellular Arena.

With that effort, Terminesi has moved into second place in the MISL scoring race with 13 points, one behind Baltimore's Lucio Gonzaga.

Terminesi, from Woodbridge, Ontario, scored 52 points in his first indoor season a year ago, then finished 12th in scoring in the outdoor USL-1 with the Minnesota Thunder, despite appearing in only 17 of 30 possible games. The left-footed second forward was a standout at the University of Louisville before joining the Wave.

The Wave (2-2) visit La Raza de Monterrey (2-2) at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27. They return home for their annual New Year's Eve game at 2 p.m., Dec. 31 against the Baltimore Blast.
