WAVE GOALIES WIN DEFENSIVE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the Week 11 Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week winners. Kansas City Comets’ Zach Reget earned the offensive win and the Milwaukee Wave’s goalkeeping duo William Banahene and Augie Rey won the defensive honors.

Zach Reget made his Kansas City debut in style with five goals against his former team. He tallied the game-winning goal in that game, his third of the season. He is now tied for first in the league for game-winning goals.

Milwaukee’s netminders combined for a perfect game on Saturday night. Stopping all of the opponents 24 attempts, Rey and Banahene walked away with no marks against them. This was the 19th MASL regular-season shutout and Milwaukee's third. Baltimore is credited with eight, the most in the MASL.
